Our program and educational aims are strongly linked to The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and play based emergent curriculum principles.


We see ourselves as a ‘Preschool With Longer Hours’ and are committed to supporting children and families through our ‘School Readiness Programs’

Our Curriculum

Our Curriculum focuses on numeracy, literacy, creativity in art and self expression, dramatic play and the performing arts, science and technology, music and movement, language and storytelling, social justice, diversity and empathy, nutrition and physical development and our natural environment.

As the children, families and the wider communities are major contributors to our programming our curriculum features a combination of spontaneous and planned/intentional experiences.

Our Program

Our program encourages children to explore, experiment, problem solve, investigate and co-operate with their peers and educators. It also encourages children to express their ideas in many different ways through drawing, painting, moulding with clay or play dough, dramatic play, singing, constructing, and as well as using the verbal or non verbal communication.

The program also supports children with their emerging social skills allowing them to grow in their autonomy and develop empathy and tolerance in trying or difficult situations.

We also focus on the EYLF principles of knowing what it means to BE, BELONG and BECOME.  The children are supported to meet the 5 Outcomes suggested in the EYLF i.e.

  • Children have a strong sense of identity
  • Children are connected with and contribute to their world
  • Children have a strong sense of well-being
  • Children are confident and involved learners
  • Children are effective communicators

We strongly believe that all children learn through their own experiences and exploration. The end product is not important. The process in discovery and learning is the greatest reward and gift.
